During the construction of the Vorarlberger Illwerke AG power plants, various feeder roads allowed the mountain valleys of the Montafon, the Paznaun and the Brandnertal, which were previously difficult to access, to be far more easily accessible. As a result, various areas for summer and winter tourism were generally accessible, and the Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße mountain route, modern cable car railways, lifts and catering businesses were created, which were very popular with guests and locals alike.
